I’m Salman, a computational astrophysicist-in-training and currently a graduate student in astronomy at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU). I work under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Cooper with DESI. My research focuses on analysis and exploration of substructures in the Milky Way halo using DESI MWS and galactic dynamics simulations.
In addition, I also collaborating in National Taiwan University (NTU) Computational Astrophysics Group for fuzzy dark matter (FDM) simulation and developing GAMER numerical simulation framework with Prof. Hsi-Yu Schive.
I earned my B.Sc. in Astronomy from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 2020. Before returning to academia, I spent years working as a security engineer. I will start as a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh with Prof. Sergey Koposov in dark matter and stellar halo substructure of Andromeda and its satellites.
